Katharine House Hospice Midnight Walk 2016

To mark the 25th Anniversary of the opening of the Katharine House Hospice , this year’s Midnight Walk had a ‘silver’ theme and the amazing 600 walkers who took part certainly did turn out wearing lots of sparkle!

This year’s walk, which was first walked in 2007, was also Katharine House Hospice’s 10th Midnight Walk, with the previous 9 years raising over £700,000 combined.

The Midnight Walk has become the hospice’s biggest fundraising event of the year, raising over £70,000 this year.

180 hardworking volunteers took part to make the event happen, the team from Radio Horton was once again supporting the event and Tesco Banbury donated 1000 rashers of bacon for the bacon sandwiches.

This year’s walk, which was 10.3 miles (over 20,000 steps), started and finished at Banbury Cricket Club, White Post Road, Bodicote, (opposite Cherwell District Council Offices).
