A driver of a van on the M40 miraculously escaped with only minor injuries despite a dramatic crash yesterday.
The Fire fighters who were called to the seen were met with debris all over the carriageway but no initial sign of the vehicle.
Only when the crews climbed the embankment did they understand that the vehicle had left the road, rolled several times and brought down power lines carrying 11,000 volts.
Working with Warwickshire Police, the Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service dealt with the incident and got the motorway moving again.
