Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after a distraction burglary in Twyford, Adderbury.

At about 9pm on Saturday (9/7), a man rang the bell of a residential property in Deene Close in an agitated state and informed occupants that they needed to shut off their taps and clear items from beneath their sink.

The two victims, a man and woman in their eighties let the offender in and followed out his instructions.

Whilst they were distracted with the water supply, the offender searched the bedrooms of the property and made off with a quantity of cash from a wallet in the house.

The offender is described as a white man, aged in his mid thirties to forties, 5ft 8ins, slim build, clean shaven but with dark hair. He was wearing dark coloured clothing and a hat.
