Huge crowds enjoyed the sunshine at the Dassett Country Show last weekend.
The Dassett Country Show took take place on Saturday 6th August 2016 next to the children’s park in Avon Dassett.
In the main ring was the popular Dog Show, Fun Dog Agility, Terrier Racing, appearances from the Dogs for Good display team and Gateridge Farm and their Suffolk Punch Horses.
Once again the Spa Strummers – the fantastic ukulele group from Leamington Spa – provided the perfect backdrop whilst people enjoyed the other entertainment and the Tea and Cake, Burger and Beer Tents.
Around the showground people took part in Welly Wanging, Bric a Brac, Tombola and Bottle stalls and of course The Dassett Mare.
Also making a return to this popular event was the Warwickshire Bees, Fir Tree Falconry, Roses Fayre, The Penny Arcade and Inflate for Fun.
This year’s event was raising money for Spinal Muscular Atrophy Support UK, the Horton General Hospital and other local charities such as the scouts.It also raised funding for flower tubs in Avon Dassett village and refurbishment of the church steps.
