Banbury United win comfortably over King’s Lynn Town with four first half goals, a result which moves them to the top of the league

Three goals against their Norfolk visitors in the first 17 minutes of this game put Banbury United firmly in control of this game.

Mark Bell opened the scoring after just three minutes. This was followed by a Felipe Barcelos strike to make it 2-0 on 12 minutes before Duran Martin scored the third just after the quarter of an hour mark.

Jack Harding was finally brought into action in the 43rd minute making a decent save but just a minute later United re-asserted their authority with Barcelos scoring his second of the afternoon and United’s fourth.

The second half was all about Banbury controlling the game and seeing it out. Harding had to make two good saves around the hour mark but thereafter United were not duly troubled and looked the more likely to add to their score than Lynn to reduce the deficit.
