Banbury United manager Mike Ford has signed a contract through to the end of season 2017-18.

Mike joined Banbury United in the summer of 2015 and steered the club to promotion in his first year. The club’s Board of Directors were keen to reward Mike, build on that success and give stability to the club.

Commenting on the news Mike said “This commitment gives me the opportunity to continue the great work from last season and further develop the excellent squad of players we have at the club. I think we are moving forwards on and off the pitch and I am delighted to be a part of that”

Chairman Ronnie Johnson said “We enjoyed a fantastic first season as a supporters’ owned club thanks to the success Mike brought on the pitch. Mike is a very professional manager and we were keen to secure his services to help us develop in the coming seasons”.

Also signing a new contract extension for the 2016-17 season was Zac McEachran, winner of three of the club’s end of season awards.
