Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public’s help in tracing a man who is wanted on recall to prison.

David French, aged 32, was last seen on 15 July in Edmonds Road, Banbury.

He is described as white, 5ft 10ins, of broad build with cropped brown hair. He has a birthmark on the left side of his neck.

Det Sgt Lee Newman, from Banbury police station, said:  “We are very keen to trace David. He has failed to attend his appointments following his release from prison and is known to frequent the Banbury area.

“We would like to hear from anyone who recognises David or knows of his whereabouts and ask them not to approach him but to contact police as a matter of urgency.”

Anyone with any information about the incident should contact the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting URN 1289 29/7.

If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
